(9/01) The third day of Summer Course Pathways towards Sustainable Futures was about field activity. Before the field activity began, Terry and Robin gave a short lecture about “Design Inspiration”. This short lecture aimed to give the participants an idea of how to carry out field activity by finding the problem and giving a solution. They also gave an example of a park design in Netherlands as the basis of this field activity.

(8/01) The second day’s Summer Course Pathways Towards Sustainable Future (PASF) activity was started with the lecture about Water Management Storage: the right amount of water in the right place at the right time, by Terry. In this session, Terry introduced water condition in Dutch and their water management. They implemented some strategies to conquer problem related water issues such as canalising the rivers, draining plains, and closing the sea wall.
(7/01)The first day’s Summer Course Pathways Towards Sustainable Future (PASF) activity began with the opening event which was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Geography Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Muh Aris Marfai, S.Si., M.Sc was also attended by I Made Andi Arsana, Ph.D as the Head of the Office of International Affair at Gadjah Mada University. At the beginning of this activity it was opened with an introductory session on lecturers, the University of Groningen, social, cultural, physical and development conditions in the Netherlands accompanied by discussions with participants.
