A total of 11 students from the Faculty of Literature and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, followed Outbound Program at the Faculty of Geography Gadjah Mada University from August 1 to June 28, 2010. University of Malaya students accompanied by the Head of the Department of Geography, University of Malaya, Prof. Dr. Osman Salleh Khairulmaini. Outbound programs conducted in the form of Summer Course by the Faculty of Geography, University of Malaya GMU where students can learn about the cultures and educational systems in the Faculty of Geography Gadjah Mada University. Summer Course Universiti Malaya is one form of cooperation in educational exchanges of students who have been there on Academic Cooperation between UGM and Universiti Malaya who has been there since 2007.
Together with the CNRD partners a PhD program will be designed and initiated. PhD students should be embedded in third party funded research at the CNRD partners. A maximum of nine students per year will get a three year scholarship. All research topics must be related to MDG 7. Students will join two common phases in Germany of five months each (one in the first year and the other in the third year).
